This slow cooker crack chicken recipe is loaded with juicy chicken thighs, ranch seasoning, cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, and green onions. It’s rich, creamy, and totally addictive—just the way comfort food should be.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken thighs, trimmed

1 oz. packet ranch seasoning mix

16 oz. cream cheese

8 slices bacon, sliced, cooked, and drained

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix evenly over the top.
  3. Add the cream cheese right on top of the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 hours—don’t open the lid during that time!
  5. After 7 hours, shred the chicken right in the slow cooker using two forks.
  6. Stir in the cooked bacon and mix it all together.
  7. Spread the mixture evenly and sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top.
  8. Cover again and let the cheese melt for about 10 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle green onions over the top and serve however you like.

Notes

  • Wanna make it spicy? Toss in a jalapeño or use spicy ranch seasoning.
  • No thighs? Chicken breasts work too—just keep an eye so they don’t dry out.
  • This keeps great in the fridge for up to 4 days and reheats like a charm.
