قصة ألف ليلة وليلة – The Story of One Thousand and One Nights

After discovering that his wife was cheating on him, the king decided that he will take on a new wife every single day and kill her by the end of the night.

قرر الملك بعد اكتشافه أن زوجته تخونه أن يتزوج امرأة جديدة كل يوم ويقتلها في نهايته.

Then one day, he met Shahrazad and married her. However, Shahrazad knew about the king’s decision.

ذات يوم، التقى بشهرزاد وتزوجها، ولكنها كانت تعلم بقراره.

Shahrazad decided to tell the king a story every single night but stop in the middle of it and then tell the king she would continue the story the next night if he allowed her to live one more day.

قررت شهرزاد أن تقص على الملك حكاية كل ليلة دون أن تخبره نهايتها وتطلب منه أن يدعها تعيش يوماً آخر لتكمل له القصة.

This continued for a thousand and one nights, each night Shahrazad would tell the king a new story until he eventually fell in love with her and they lived happily ever after.

استمرت الحكايات ألف ليلة وليلة، وقصت شهرزاد على الملك كل ليلة حكاية حتى وقع في حبها وعاشا بسعادة وهناء.

قصة الأميرة وحبة البازلاء – The Princess and the Pea

.There was once a judgmental prince who criticized all the princesses he ever met

كان هناك أمير سريع الحكم على الناس، وكان ينتقد كل الأميرات اللواتي يلتقي بهن.

. Every time he met a new princess, he would think of something that was wrong with her

كلما التقى بأميرة جديدة ليتزوجها، كان يجد بها شيئاً غير مناسب.

.He traveled far and wide to find his princess

سافر الأمير إلى أقصى البلاد ليجد أميرته.

One night, there was a huge storm and they heard a knock on the door. It was a girl who claimed she was a princess.

ذات ليلة، وخلال عاصفة قوية سمع الأمير طرقاً قوياً على الباب. كانت فتاةً تدعي أنها أميرة.

However, she had filthy clothes and was wet from the rain, so the prince’s mother decided to test her.

ولكن ثيابها كانت متسخة ومبتلة فقررت أم الأمير اختبارها.

She was offered to stay the night on a bed with 20 mattresses but underneath them was a pea.

عرضت عليها أن تقضي الليلة على سرير فوقه عشرين مفرش، ولكنها وضعت تحتها حبة بازلاء.

The next morning, the girl complained that she couldn’t sleep because something hard was under her.

في صباح اليوم التالي، قالت الفتاة أنها لم تستطع النوم لأنها أحست بشيء قاسٍ تحتها.

.The prince has rejoiced that he finally found his princess and decided to marry her

فرح الأمير جداً أنه وجد أميرته، وقرر الزواج بها.
