It’s easy to understand that learning a new language is time-consuming and challenging. In this article, we’ll tell you how to learn English faster by finding your learning style.

First, let’s discuss the concept of “Learning Style” and try to find a definition of it:
Learning styles is a concept that was introduced by the educational psychologist, Dr. David A. Kolb in 1969 and expanded upon by Peter Gomes, who wrote an article on the subject for Learning Styles: Understanding Your Personality Type (HarperCollins) in 2003.
Dr. David Kolb’s original definition is as follows:
“A learning style is a manner of approaching the acquisition of new knowledge, rather than an actual way of learning. For example, some people are visual learners who learn best by seeing or looking at pictures; others are auditory learners who prefer to hear verbal instructions.” In short, learning styles are a way of learning in which the learner’s preference is for one or more specific ways of acquiring knowledge.
How to Find Your Learning Style?
There are nine different learning styles:
The first and the best way is that they learn best by seeing or looking at pictures. (Examples: you might be a visual learner if you like watching movies and TV shows, taking photographs, and drawing.)
They learn best by hearing and listening to verbal instructions. (Examples: you might be a verbal learner if you like to listen to audiobooks, are good at remembering quotes and sayings, or enjoy reading books.)
They learn best by doing. (Examples: you might be a kinesthetic learner if you like sports and physical activities, play musical instruments, or have a talent for drawing.)
They learn best by using logic and reasoning. (Examples: you might be a logical learner if you like to solve puzzles, read books about science or math, enjoy playing games of strategy.)
They learn best by imagining what they are seeing in their mind’s eye. (Examples: you might be a spatial learner if you like to draw, paint or play with puzzles.)
They learn best by talking and sharing ideas. (Examples: you might be an intrapersonal learner if you enjoy writing in journals, telling stories, or talking about yourself.)
They learn best by imitating the behavior of others. (Examples: you might be a naturalistic learner if you like to watch videos, read magazines or blogs, take field trips and join clubs.)
They learn best by working in groups and with others. It’s important to learn English grammar and vocabulary. (Examples: you might be an interpersonal learner if you like to work on projects, talk about ideas or discuss subjects.)
They learn best by interacting with other people. (Examples: you might be a social learner if you like to talk about your personal experiences, play games or participate in sports.)
How do I discover my learning style?
To discover your learning style, you need to do some research on the different styles of learning. For example, if you are a visual learner, go online and find out what types of visuals work best for you. Do not worry about whether or not the materials look good—just try to find out what is best for you. There are many resources available online that will help you to discover your learning style.
One way to learn about your learning style is through a questionnaire called the “Locus of Control” questionnaire (LOC). The LOC questionnaire asks questions such as: ” Do you feel that your personal actions are in control of what happens to you, or do other people make most of the decisions?” If you answer “other people” to these questions, then this means that you are a naturalistic learner.
To find out more about learning styles and how they relate to learning, go online and search for information about “learning styles.”
The LOC questionnaire is not the only way to discover your learning style. There are many other ways that you can find out what type of learner you are. Here are some suggestions: Go to your school library and find out what types of books are best for you. There is no right or wrong answer, so pick the ones that work best for you.
Research online how to learn different subjects by watching videos on YouTube. For example, if you want to know how to learn about computers, watch a video on how to use Microsoft Word.
Go online and read articles that talk about learning styles. There are many sites that will give you information about learning styles; just do some research and find the one that works best for you.
What kind of study/learning style best suits me?
In my experience, there are three types of people that benefit from the different styles of learning.
1. Naturalistic learner
A naturalistic learner is someone who likes to be self-taught and learn things by themselves. They like to do research on their own, and learn things the way they want to. Naturalistic learners would probably benefit from learning by themselves because there is no one telling them what to do or how to study.
2. Intuitive learner
An intuitive learner is someone who learns by feeling and figuring things out on their own. An intuitive learner would benefit from a different style of learning because they can learn the way that works best for them. They will have no problem finding information to help them with what they are studying, but they may have trouble learning by themselves.
3. Auditory learner
An auditory learner is someone who learns best when they are told what to do and how to study. They would benefit from a different style of learning because they can get help with their studying and get more information on the topic they are learning about. They can also benefit from a different style of learning because they will have someone to tell them what to do, how to study, and when it is time for them to study.
How can I change my study style?
It is very easy to change your study style. You can start by doing a little research on what type of learner you are and try to find out how the different styles of the learning benefit people in their own way. If you have been studying with a naturalistic style, for example, and you realize that it is not working for you, then maybe try to change your study style.
You could talk with your teacher about the way that they teach or even look at other schools in your area and see what type of learning styles are being used there. There are many ways to change your study style, but the most important thing is to find out what works for you.
Another way that you can change your study style is by getting some help from a teacher or professor in the school. They could teach you how to get organized and learn more efficiently. You could also ask them if they know of any other ways to study that would work for you.
You could even ask them if they think it is okay to switch your style of learning and see what they say about it. If you get the ok from a teacher or professor, then maybe try out some different styles and see which one works best for you.
In summary, there are many different types of learners. Some people learn best by reading, some by listening, and others by watching. Some people learn best in groups, while others learn better alone. And some people like to be more active when they are learning English. The most important thing is that you find out what type of learner you are and how to improve your English skills. So, from the descriptions above, what kind of learner are you and which of the practice tips do you want to try?
